Discovery Division For Beginning Students

The Discovery Division offers beginning students the opportunity to explore hidden talents, improve communication skills and ignite their imagination. Through theatre games and activities, campers learn improvisation, singing & vocal technique, playwriting, dancing & stage movement and on-camera technique, all culminating in our Camp Walnut Showcase on our historic stage! The Showcase is an original musical written by the campers!

Development Division For Intermediate Students

In the Development Division the more advanced camper is challenged to develop a deeper understanding of the craft through class, rehearsal, writing and a performance in the Camp Walnut Showcase– an original musical written by the campers and performed on our historic stage! Advanced classes feature improvisation, acting technique, audition coaching, singing & vocal technique, dancing & stage movement and on-camera technique.

Performance Division For Advanced Students

The Performance Division is for our most experienced campers. Campers will receive intensive instruction and perform in a production in the Walnut's Studio Theatre.

Mainstage Performance Opportunity For Campers
On Friday, July 27th, all campers accepted into our Development and Performance Divisions are invited to audition for our Mainstage Production of Aladdin, Jr. as part of our WST Kids Series. Campers will be given priority for all roles! Rehearsals for the show will take place August 13-24, 10am-6pm as well as weekends in September with performances on our historic mainstage on September 22, 29, and 30.
