Mary Carpenter

Mary works as an actress, director, teacher and writer. She has worked with1812 Productions, Montgomery Theatre Company, Act II Playhouse, Philadelphia Theatre Company, the Arden, and the Wilma. Credits include directing Intimate Exchanges at 1812, her original one woman show The New & Improved Stages of Grief, Rumors & Prisoner of Second Avenue(Montgomery Theatre Company), and City of Nutterly Love (Second City/Philadelphia Theatre Company). Mary has been a performing and teaching member of ComedySportz for over twenty years where she also served as Artistic Director twice. She is also a part of the improv ensembles Dangerous Fools, ‘Til Death Do Us Part, and Wisdom Teeth. Her improvisation training includes work with Second City, Keith Johnstone, Mick Napier, Jill Bernard, Jeff Wirth and Todd Stashwick. She holds Theatre degrees from Northwestern University and The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.
