A. Bryan Humphrey

A. Bryan Humphrey has been an actor, director, writer and theatre teacher for over fifty years. A long-time member of Actors’ Equity Association he has appeared with theatres across the country including the Intiman, Seattle Rep, Seattle Children’s Theatre, Tacoma Actors Guild, Book-It Rep, Mill Mountain Theatre, Arkansas Rep, Seattle Shakespeare Company, Connecticut Rep, The Fulton Theatre, Missouri Rep, The Denver Center and the Nebraska, Colorado, Oregon and Utah Shakespeare Festivals. He has taught theatre at Baylor University, the University of Colorado Boulder, Ohio University, Pepperdine University , Utah State University, and Penn State University. Bryan has directed over fifty productions including adaptations of several Shakespeare plays including Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet, Midsummer Night’s Dream and Macbeth. His one-person adaptation of King Lear entitled Lear’s Shadow was nominated Best New Play by the Denver Drama Critics Circle.
