Nora Gair

Nora Gair (she/her) is a Philadelphia-based theatre director and audition coach, proudly hailing from the woods and mountains of New Hampshire. As an audition coach and teacher, she specializes on making what the actor wants to say be heard clearly, strongly, and passionately, and emphasizes building the actor’s toolbox through classwork. As a director, she is committed to threading classic themes with radically new and inclusive life for audiences today. Her directing work has been seen all over including Actors Theatre of Louisville, City Theatre, the Compōs-it Opera Festival, Project Y Theatre, Shakespeare in the Woods, and the Philadelphia Dramatists Center, and she is the New Play Development Coordinator and Resident Intimacy Choreographer at the Strides Collective. Nora is an alumna of the John Wells Directing Program @ Carnegie Mellon University, the Tepper Semester @ Syracuse University, and the Apprenticeship Program @ Walnut Street Theatre. cutt.ly/noragair
