Jessica Doheny

General Manager

Jessica Doheny is thrilled to be back home at the Walnut! She began her professional career as Company Manager/Assistant to the Managing Director here from 2001 - 2012, and also served as a member of the Theatre School faculty and taught at Camp Walnut. Subsequently, Jessica was General Manager at Lantern Theatre Company for two seasons then moved to Drexel University, working first in the office of Protocol and Special events and then in the Performing Arts Department as Mandell Theater Managing Director. While at Drexel, she was an adjunct faculty member in the Theatre Program, produced two large arts-based project grants funded by the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage, and established Mandell Presents, a free presenting series designed to engage a broad audience in multidisciplinary artistic work focused on contemporary issues. She then served for three years as Executive Director at Appel Farm Arts and Music Center in Salem County, NJ, before rejoining the staff at the Walnut in her current position as General Manager.

Jessica is an active community volunteer, currently serving as Mayor of the Borough of Wenonah. She has also performed, directed, and stage-managed in community theaters throughout the South Jersey region for more than 25 years. Jessica holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University and a Masters of Legal Studies from the Thomas Kline School of Law at Drexel University. She resides in Wenonah with her husband Mike and is the proud mom of Jill and Joey.
