Associate Audience Services Manager

The Walnut Street Theatre seeks an Associate Audience Services Manager to support our front-of-house operations. The Associate Audience Services Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for attendees to the Mainstage and Independence Studio on 3 productions, and special events. Responsibilities include general customer service, gift shop management, scheduling database management, and coordinating volunteer ushers. Applicants must have excellent people skills, strong computer skills, be organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, seasonal position starting now through May 30, 2027. This position requires a 6 day a week schedule, including nights and weekends.

The salary is $760/week plus excellent benefits.

Assistant Technical Director

Walnut Street Theatre, America’s oldest theatre, seeks experienced Assistant Technical

Director to join our fast-paced production team. The ATD works closely with Technical

Director in the implementing all scenic elements for WST’s mainstage, studio, and

children’s theatre productions; supervising all scene shop staff and apprentices, and

budgeting of all scenic designs.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with TD to engineer, develop, and draft all scenic elements and shop

drawings using AutoCAD

• Assist TD in providing accurate material and labor estimates for all scenic, paint,

and props for all WST productions

• Research material and build methods for scenic elements

• Maintain build and load-in schedules

• Schedule and supervise all shop personnel

• Provide training for WST shop apprentices

• Order materials as required

• Assist the TD in the scheduling and arranging of scenery, props, and tool

transportation between the shop and theatre

• Attend all load-in, load-out and technical rehearsals as needed

• Maintain an accurate inventory of all tools, soft goods, and stored scenic elements

• Foster a safe, positive working environment

Qualifications:

• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD drafting, including 3D drafting techniques

• Minimum 3-5 years professional scene shop experience, including experience in

Technical Direction

• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 oCice suite

• Excellent communication skills

• Proficient in theatrical rigging, electrical wiring, and CNC Programming

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to drive a 16’ box truck in a city environment

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Compensation & Benefits

• $60,000-$62,000 annually with excellent benefits package and bonus potential

Ticketing Services Agent (Part Time)

Walnut Street Theatre is seeking friendly, customer-focused Ticketing Services Agents to join our team! This part-time position is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping patrons, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a welcoming, collaborative workplace at America’s Oldest Theatre.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service primarily over the phone, including answering inquiries, processing ticket sales, and handling ticket exchanges.
  • Navigate ticketing software accurately and efficiently (training provided).
  • Assist with subscription renewals, package sales, and general patron support.
  • Uphold established departmental procedures and contribute to a positive, organized work environment.
  • Assist with additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Basic computer proficiency required; prior ticketing or box office experience is a plus but not required.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Night and weekend availability is strongly preferred.
