1999
One of the biggest hits in the Walnut's history was
Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story
in 1999. The production, a musical celebration of the legendary singer/songwriter
who shot to stardom in 1957 only to die in a plane crash two years later, featured
Christopher Sutton (right) as Buddy Holly, shown here with actor Tif Luckenbill.
Sutton has also appeared in Walnut productions of
Blood Brothers, Singin' in the Rain,
and
Finian's Rainbow.
