Playwright Arthur Miller debuted with the Broadway tryout of The Man Who Had All the Luck in November 1944. Though the play won the Theater Guild's National Award, it closed after only six performances on Broadway. Miller's career took off with his next Broadway production, All My Sons, and he went on to become regarded as one of America's greatest playwrights.
