1925

In 1925 Imogene Coca had a supporting role in When You Smile, a musical adaptation of the 1923 play Extra. The show played the entire summer at the Walnut, but flopped when it reached Broadway in the fall. This was Coca's first professional job, but the actress went on to have a successful Broadway theatre and Emmy-winning television career.
