Family comedies, the pre-curser to television sit-coms, made up most of the Walnut's 1926 season. Robert Montgomery had a supporting role in one such production called One of the Family. This and other family comedy tours that came through had little success, but Montgomery moved to Hollywood shortly thereafter where he became a star.
